Limousines are not just for weddings and proms, says Kristina Bouweiri, owner of the Reston Limousine service. “VIP pick-ups, group trips to athletic events and guided tours are other occasions that people book for our limos,” she explains.
In fact, it was a three-hour trip around Washington that started the company in 1990. Bouweiri’s husband, William, new to the area and working for another limousine firm, was given a $5,000 tip by a wealthy Texas woman who was grateful for her tour.
With it, he bought his first stretch and slowly began growing the company that now generates $6 million in annual sales, employs 200 people, and transports thousands of people around town each year in its 12 limos, 14 sedans, 35 vans and 40 buses.

PROBLEM SOLVED
If “I love you, darling, is the extent of your romantic vocabulary, log onto lovelettersnow.com. For $19.95 download 200 love letters that range in topics from “Expressions of Love,” and “Lunch Box Notes for Children,” to “From USA to Deployment Military.”
Simply find a missive that tells how you feel, copy it, and a salutation and closing, and send it to the one you love, explains Leslie Karsner, the Cyrano behind the site.
“Although it’s possible to send one of the cards without adding an original word, it would be good form for lovers to personalize their message,” she advises, suggesting romantic wanabees combine two or more letters, or add quotes by notables.
One of her favorites comes from Sait Teresa of Avila: “Accustom yourself continually to make many acts of love, for they enkindle and melt the soul.”
